Nobel Peace Prize jury treads carefully after Trump campaign

The Nobel Peace Prize committee is treading carefully for its October 9 selection following intense campaigning by Donald Trump. Experts suggest the five-member committee may seek a laureate with broad consensus to avoid the controversy of previous years. While Trump is not expected to win this year, his public pressure on the committee remains a factor. Potential contenders currently generating discussion include Mark Carney and the International Space Station, though the jury remains under unprecedented pressure to maintain its independence from political lobbying.
