PlayStation Plus October Lineup Arrives With Spider-Man Avatars

PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim three monthly games for October 2026 alongside a set of Spider-Man items. The monthly game selection includes F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, dropping the total count from four titles to three. Additionally, members gained access to five free PSN avatars tied to Spider-Man Brand New Day through Sony Pictures Core on October 6. Meanwhile, regional variations surfaced as Sony substituted Hunt: Showdown 1896 with a different title in Japan and other users received alternative games like Bad New Neighbor.

   Why it matters

The monthly PlayStation Plus drops dictate active player engagement and shape platform perceptions based on regional lineup variations. The inclusion of promotional items alongside the core game releases highlights ongoing crossover marketing with Sony Pictures properties. Discrepancies between regions continue to draw scrutiny from subscribers who monitor differing game availability.
