    Why it matters

The theft targets valuable items shipped to Professional Sports Authenticator for grading, a critical process that determines market value for collectors of sports memorabilia and Pokémon cards. Transporting high-value items via major delivery services remains a vulnerability for the hobby industry, where individual pieces can command massive prices. The location of the burglary directly outside company headquarters adds an extraordinary element of risk to routine shipments.
