Why it matters
Hardware accessories designed for Nintendo handheld consoles frequently target players seeking pro-level controls and better grip durability than standard Joy-Cons. The original Nitro Deck established a baseline for these third-party deck cases, making this sequel a major test for whether the manufacturer could refine its layout for newer hardware iterations. Pricing at $99.99 places the accessory in a premium bracket, drawing intense scrutiny over minor design discrepancies that affect usability.
