Sailors missing after fresh attacks on Black Sea vessels, Bulgaria says

Bulgarian authorities called off the search and rescue operation for missing sailors after a combined aerial and maritime drone strike sank a merchant vessel inside the country's Black Sea exclusive economic zone. The attack on October 6 targeted two commercial vessels, causing the rapid sinking of the Togo-flagged general cargo ship Alfa Watan about 70 nautical miles east of Byala, while a second ship, the Palau-flagged Able, remained abandoned with a flooded engine room. Rescuers recovered an overturned boat, three life rafts, and floating equipment but found no survivors.
