Zelda Switch Pro Controller Drops Ahead of Black Friday

Ahead of Black Friday, original Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Switch Pro controllers have dropped in price to $46.60 as an open box international model. The original controller is fully compatible with the US-based region-free Switch 2 console. While the newly announced Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Switch 2 Pro controller costs $100, the original model offers a more affordable alternative for players despite missing newer features like rear paddle switches, a GameChat button, a headphone jack, HD Rumble 2, and console wakeup capabilities.

   Why it matters

Early Black Friday sales feature significant video game discounts across multiple retailers like Woot, alongside various hardware bundles in the UK and US. The introduction of the $100 Zelda Ocarina of Time Switch 2 Pro controller has brought attention to legacy hardware pricing options. Original Pro controllers lack specific newer hardware updates found on the Switch 2 Pro iteration but maintain high build quality and broad compatibility.
