Why it matters
Fatal animal attacks at modern zoos and wildlife parks trigger immediate security reviews regarding barrier integrity and visitor safety protocols. Facilities face intense public scrutiny over whether to euthanise animals involved in fatal human encounters, though public pressure increasingly favors sparing the animals.
