Authorities are searching for the individual who fatally shot four people at a home in a suburb of Denver.
Three men and a woman were killed in the shooting just after 2 a.m. Sunday, the Aurora police chief said.
Two “very young” children and a woman who is the suspect’s partner were unharmed, he added.
Authorities had issued a distancing order against the suspect, 21-year-old Joseph Mario Castorena, prohibiting him from going to the home or contacting his partner, who lived there.
Police searched Castorena’s home nearby, but did not find him.
“Surely he’s considered to be armed, and obviously he’s dangerous,” Oates said.
“There was an accumulation of causes that led to this,” Oates said.
Police used drones to search for Castorena at dawn and were still looking for him in the neighborhood on Sunday.
