The Homeowners Assistance Fund o HAF, a program that allows people who are behind in their mortgage payments to access financial resources to catch up and protect their homes and family members.
HAF offers the following types of mortgage or housing-related assistance:
1. Mortgage replacement to catch up on delinquent payments or forbearance.
2. Mortgage Modification to provide homeowners with assistance in adjusting their mortgage payments.
3. Housing-related expenses to catch up on payments are available, including property taxes, homeowners insurance, mortgage insurance, condominium or homeowners association, water and sewer services.
During the event, attendees will be able to consult with housing counselors and legal counsel who will be available to answer homeowners’ questions and evaluate their individual cases, as well as guide them if they need to complete or review their HAF applications.
