Motorola’s Moto G53 debuted in China last week with the Snapdragon 480+ SoC and 5G support. A new report now suggests that the global variant will have slightly different specs. A previous leak also shows the design, which isn’t very different from the Chinese iteration.
Render alleged Moto G53 (global).
Perhaps the two most notable differences are the display and chipset. The global version is expected to come with the newer Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, while the display will be upgraded to a 6.6-inch OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The Chinese G53 has a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD that is lackluster.
The base storage configuration is said to be 6GB/128GB, and the rear will feature a 50MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro unit. The selfie snapper will have a resolution of 16 MP.
A 5,000mAh battery will power the Moto G53, but its charge rate is yet to be confirmed.
So the global G53 is shaping up to be a very different device, and a pretty lucrative one at that. Pricing is yet to be confirmed.
