History – 12/15/2002: USC quarterback Carson Palmer wins the 68th Heisman Trophy

On December 15, 2002, the Heisman Trophy for the best college player of the past season was awarded for the 68th time. USC quarterback Carson Palmer was able to enjoy this prestigious award in the end. Time to look back, time for sports report history!

In the end, Palmer came out on top with 1,328 points, well ahead of Brad Banks (Quarterback/Iowa/1,099) and Larry Johnson (Runningback/Penn State/726).

A side note: Carson Palmer has ten wins and only two losses this season. The USC playmaker had 32 touchdown passes, ten interceptions and 3,639 pass yards.
