Humpback whales return to Oaxaca, Mexico

Humpback whales have returned to the shores of Oaxaca in Mexico leaving tourists and locals in awe. On board these boats, the luckiest ones manage to capture that brief moment in which the whales appear on the surface of the ocean. Tour boat operator, Carlos Ponce “The sea was calm for many months without the human presence (due to the COVID-19 quarantine) having an effect on this. That gave (the whales) the security of returning to shore “Every winter season, hundreds of gray and humpback whales, from the Arctic Circle, make their way through the coasts of Alaska, passing through Canada, the northern United States and California, until they reach the warm and shallow waters off the coast of Mexico to mate and have new offspring.
