The India Global Forum (IGF) in Dubai is chaired by the Foreign Minister of New Delhi
The India Global Forum (IGF), taking place this week in the United Arab Emirates, is the first high-level international gathering hosted by New Delhi since it took over the G20 presidency.
India replaced Indonesia as the presidency of the Club of Leading Economists on December 1 and will continue in that role for a year.
The India Global Forum session, to be held in Dubai from 12 to 16 December, brought together political, business and cultural leaders from India, the United Arab Emirates and beyond.
The gathering will be chaired by India’s Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, with speakers also including UAE Minister for AI and Digital Economy Omar Sultan Al Olama and US billionaire publisher Michael Bloomberg.
The event will focus on India-UAE bilateral relations, climate finance, technology and investment. Her other main objective is to discuss India’s global aspirations during its G20 presidency.
“The world is at a juncture in many ways, whether it’s tackling climate change or managing global economic turmoil. It’s more important than ever that nations, companies and influencers look for common ground and work towards positive outcomes for global impact.” IGF Founder and Chairman Manoj Ladwa said.
„Our edition of the India Global Forum in the United Arab Emirates, the first major global event since India’s rise to the G20 presidency, will enable just that.”
The gathering is set to conclude on Friday with the first-ever UAE India Awards, which IGF organizers say are set to celebrate the leading figures and companies driving collaboration between the two nations “goes from strength to strength.”
