Born August 28, 1961, in Boston, Massachusetts, Jennifer Coolidge is an American actress. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a singer, but it was towards the theater that she turned. In 1985, she graduated from Ermeson College with a theater option.
After graduation, she leaves for New York and joins the improv troupe The Gotham City Impro Group. Thereafter, she flew to Los Angeles where she joined the theater troupe The Groundings.
In 1993, she made her debut on the screens, in a small role in the series Seinfeld. The following year, she obtained a regular role in the series, She TV. In 1996, she wrote a sketch for the Saturday Night Special.
In 1995, she made her film debut in the film Not of this Earthmore it was in 1999 that she became known to the general public thanks to her role as Stifler’s mother in the film American Pie. In 2001, she played the cult role of Paulette in the film A Blonde’s Revenge alongside Reese Witherspoon. Role she takes over in the sequel to the film The blonde strikes backand in the clip Thank U, Next by Ariana Grande.
During the 2000s and 2010s, she chained small roles and appearances, especially in the series Nip/Tuck, 2 Broke Girls or Glee. In 2014, she resumed her role as Stifler’s mother in American Pie 4.
Between 2020 and 2021, she lends her voice to the animated series The Fungies. In 2022, she is starring in the Netflix series The Watcher. Since 2021, she has played the main role of the HBO series, The White Lotus.
