Spain, the company’s main foreign destination, is one of the countries that is attracting the most bookings
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have confirmed that their clients’ bookings have grown by 600% in less than 24 hours following the announcement yesterday afternoon by the British executive of the implementation of a de-escalation plan to reactivate trips abroad from UK.
As the company has advanced this Tuesday, Spain is one of the countries that is benefiting the most from this injection of confidence, attracting a large part of the reserves.
“We had been observing an increase in bookings for weeks now, but yesterday’s announcement has generated great confidence among our customers and their desire for a getaway and a vacation after so many months of confinement. We will continue to wait for more details and, in the meantime, we will be close to our clients as we have been throughout this time “, said the CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, Steve Heapy.
The reopening of borders in the United Kingdom will not be before May 17, which is why Jet2.com has postponed the resumption of its activities until that date.
Looking ahead to the summer, the company will debut its tenth base, in Bristol, from which it will offer flights to ten Spanish airports, and which will join those already operating in Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, East Midlands, London-Stansted, Glasgow , Edinburgh and Belfast, with direct flights to 14 airports in Spain.
