Jordan Spieth co-leader au Sony Open à Hawaii

Also in Hawaii, the PGA Tour continues this week with the 25th edition of the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club. The provisional leaders of this first round interrupted by the night are the Americans Jordan Spieth, Taylor Montgomery and Chris Kirk at -6.

The night interrupted the Hawaiian tournament. An interruption leaving world No. 15 Jordan Spieth in the provisional lead at -6 alongside Taylor Montgomery and Chris Kirk: “Yes, I started well, hit a few fairways early with the driver at 10 and 12 and had a few good wedge shots. I was able to get some putts early in the game, so that was good. It can be a really fun golf course once you start laying down those fairways,” said Jordan Spieth.

The three Americans made the same card of 64, with a total of 7 birdies and a bogey.

Among the 9 players who could not complete their first round, SH Kim is just behind the leaders, in 4th position at -5. He stopped at the 16th hole of this first round.

They are followed by JJ Spaun in 11th position at -4, JT Poston, 22nd at -3 and the defending Japanese champion, Hideki Matsuyama in 41st position at -2. South Korean Tom Kim is having more difficulty on this first lap, 115th at +2.
