The carnival friends of the Catholic youth (KakaJu) are looking forward to the forthcoming meeting and street carnival. After the two-year corona-related break, the revelers around President Thomas Puppe and the first chairman Sebastian Lohkemper want to return to the usual scope of their carnival activities and thus their donations. A total of eight sessions are planned, two of them in the Boston Club and thus in a completely new location. According to a spokesman, the carnival friends of the Catholic youth will also be the largest provider in the Düsseldorf session carnival in the current session. Ever since it was founded in 1952, KakaJu has always had a “good cause” in mind, supported not least by the artists, who even today all perform at a much reduced rate and in many cases even without a fee. “Of course we hope that the return to normality will also mean that we will get back to the usual regions of 20,000 euros and more with our donation pot,” says Puppe.
