The captain of the Argentine National Team returns to Paris to rejoin his team after winning the World Cup in Qatar 2022. When would he play again?
Lionel Messi’s days of partying and relaxing seem to be over. In Rosario, this Monday afternoon, his plane landed and at night, the idol was seen arriving at the airport and boarding the bus that takes him to his ship to travel in the next few hours to France, rejoin PSG and change the chip after having reached the top of the world becoming champion with the Argentine National Team in Qatar 2022.
Although there was no official confirmation, the possible departure time of the private flight turned out to be 10 p.m. it was absolutely punctual: Messi, his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and their children Thiago, Mateo and Ciro arrived shortly before at the boarding area, in an operation to protect their privacy, and at the appointed time, the aircraft took off.
Perhaps some other member of his family with whom they shared these days of intimacy in a country house in the city of Funes, 30 kilometers from Rosario, has joined the entourage.
They will be left behind, then, those massive celebrations on the Ricchieri highway with a ‘traveler’ in one hand and the much-desired World Cup in the other; the arrival by helicopter to Funes, the autographs for the neighbors; the ‘Champion’s Party’ with colleagues (Ángel Di María and Leandro Paredes), family, friends and guests who wanted to share this special moment with the 35-year-old footballer.
Last Tuesday, PSG coach Christophe Galtier announced that Messi was going to rejoin the squad between January 2 and 3, after spending Christmas and New Year with his family in Rosario.
Thus he missed the agonizing victory against Racing de Strasbourg last Wednesday and the defeat against guard Lens, while he will probably not be there on Friday the 6th, when he faces Chateauroux for the French Cup.
His official return to a field of play, then, would be on Wednesday the 11th against Angers, for Ligue 1.
a farewell book
Lionel Messi received this Monday a signature book dedicated by some of his neighbors from the private neighborhood where his house is in Rosario. It was moments before the end of his vacation after his coronation as world champion in Qatar 2022 and return to France to rejoin Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Juan Félix Rossetti, administrator of the Kentucky Country Club, the captain of the Argentine team, who touched the sky with his hands on December 18, received a book in which the co-owners left him messages and greetings.
The delivery of the copy was made privately, through the footballer’s family environment, who sent to the administration of the exclusive neighborhood -located in the town of Funes, in the urban belt of Rosario-, two photos of Messi receiving it inside from his house.
Rossetti, in statements to the agency EFEpointed out that the player will return to Paris this Monday.
