In short, this famous “There will be a light” recorded with the Blind Boys of Alabama gave rise to a few concerts (no tour in France unfortunately) including this one, filmed at the mythical Apollo Theater in Harlem. Ben Harper’s humility and emotion in the face of the Blind Boys is a pleasure to see, their complicity is obvious… there are even some funny moments like the one, for example, where one of the Blind Boys misses the start of a piece (making Ben Harper burst out laughing on the way) and apologize before the band starts the song again, all in a very warm atmosphere..
