NEW YORK.- Tens of thousands of Americans moved from one state to another during 2022, including thousands of Dominicans.
North American Van Lines (NAVL), a trucking company that specializes in home and office relocations, published where most Americans moved in 2022; although the number of movements this year was less than in 2021 and 2020.
The places with the highest influx were South Carolina, with 66%; North Carolina, 64%; Tennessee, 64%; Arizona, 57%, and Florida, 56%.
While the main issuing states were: Illinois, with 65%; California, 62%; New Jersey, 61%; Michigan, 59%; Pennsylvania, 59%, and New York, 59%.
The analysis highlights among the main reasons for emigrating the high cost of living, due to warmer climates, more reasonable housing conditions.
It highlights that among southern states easing Covid-19 restrictions first in 2020, as well as lower tax rates, Americans may find attractive.
