Due to numerous requests from the participants, the festival menu will include dishes from another winter fish – navaga. It also has a festival offer: 100 grams of fried fish at a single price of 100 rubles.

The mission of the festival is to turn the beloved folk fish into a gastronomic legend of the Far East and to maximize its culinary potential. “The motto of our festival“ Smelt is for love ”fully reflects the concept of the holiday and the love of Primorye residents for fishing. Our guests have probably already known the characters of the festival since last year. These are the amorous smelt Lena and the confident bison Igor. This time, their love story may have an unexpected twist, which may be influenced by the guests themselves. So follow our social networks, there are many surprises, ”says Head of the Pacific Russia Food Far Eastern Cuisine Development Project Department Galina Tsesarskaya.

In addition, this year the gastronomic event is not limited only to the restaurant festival and is being integrated into the popular winter holiday “People’s Fishing”. The program includes contests, hot tea and, of course, your favorite fried smelt. The event will be held on January 23 at the Sports Harbor embankment.

The organizers of the smelt festival were the project for the development of the Far Eastern cuisine Pacific Russia Food and the ANO Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai. The event will be held with the support of the Primorsky Krai government. The smelt festival is part of a series of events presented in the Concept for the development of gastronomic tourism in the Primorsky Territory based on Far Eastern cuisine for the period 2021-2025.
