More than 400 yaks returned to Kyrgyzstan from Tajikistan

The Department of Information and Communications of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that the border guards of the Border Guard Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic continue to carry out activities to return to the population of the border areas the livestock that has crossed into the territory of neighboring states.

So, on January 12, 2023, citizens of Kyrgyzstan applied to the border guards of the Border Guard Office of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Osh region, who, during the grazing of 427 heads of yaks, crossed into the territory of Tajikistan.

Due to weather conditions, the shepherds were unable to locate the yaks and search for them on their own.

On January 13, negotiations were held between the border representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, after which the yaks were returned to their owners.

The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds that in case of questions related to the state border, citizens should contact the nearest border unit.
