On July 25, it was reported that the EBU had made its final decision, stating that the event would take place in the UK. Chairman of the Board of the Public Nikolay Chernotitsky, commenting on the statement of the EBU, noted that the competition will be held in support of Ukraine.
Initially, seven cities competed for the right to host the competition. – except for Liverpool and Glasgow, the list includes Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Leeds and Sheffield.
