New confidential documents have been found in the family home of President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, the White House announced on Saturday. Five additional pages were discovered, after an initial statement Thursday from the White House on documents found successively in November and early January.
These documents date from the time of the vice-presidency of Joe Biden, under the mandates of Barack Obama, between 2009 and 2017. They were discovered in a room adjacent to the garage of the family home of the current president of the United States .
On Thursday, US Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed an independent prosecutor to investigate the case. The matter is very delicate for Joe Biden, when he plans to run for re-election.
Presidential lawyer Richard Sauber visited this residence to supervise the transfer of a first series of files to justice. The set was transmitted according to him to the representatives of the Ministry of Justice who accompanied him.
In addition to the files found in this private residence, other confidential documents were discovered last November at the Penn Biden Center, a think tank in Washington where Joe Biden once had an office, and also entrusted to justice.

Elected Republicans have since taken advantage of the case to castigate a clear difference in treatment between the current president and his predecessor Donald Trump. He too had been in the sights of justice for taking classified documents from his Florida residence.
