Are the OGC Nice club preparing to welcome an English international? Sky Sports, a very serious British media, announcement this wednesday that the Aiglons have started discussions with representatives of Jesse Lingard to welcome the latter in the form of a loan until the end of the season. According to the Premier League broadcaster, the OGCN is expected to start negotiations with Manchester United early next week.

Trained with the Red Devils and international with the England team 24 times (for four goals scored), Lingard is placarded at Manchester United. Last Saturday, the 28-year-old attacking midfielder played his third game of the season against Watford (1-0), in the FA Cup. Otherwise, Lingard has not played a single Premier League game of the season and has only played four English league games in 2020.

One year without scoring
Very rarely in the Mancuniens group, Lingard had notably spent a year without scoring between January 2019 and January 2020. His last goal in the Premier League dates back to the last day of the championship last July against Leicester (2-0). Despite this status of replacement, even of reserve, Manchester United offered him a contract extension in December, binding the player to the club until June 2022.
But faced with his lack of playing time, the Red Devils and coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer could be tempted to loan Lingard. The latter could discover leaving England for the first time in his career, and discover a sixth club after Manchester United, Leicester, Birmingham, Brighton and Derby County.
