VIENNA, Prague.- A passenger plane flying from Birmingham (UK) to Bucharest landed at Prague’s Vaclav Havel Airport due to the birth of a baby, which eventually took place on board, Radio Prague reported.
At 0114 hours Prague airport received information that a flight from the UK to Romania had been diverted due to a childbirth. About 12 minutes later it was learned that both the mother and the newborn were fine.’
Shortly after, the plane landed in Prague, and the woman and her newborn were transferred to a Prague clinic while the flight continued its journey to Bucharest, it added.
“I am happy that the mother and baby are well, and I wish them good health,” the airport director, Jiri Pos, wrote on his Twitter account.
