Players of the national women’s team of Ukraine: Impressions of the victory are very positive – Football, Sat. Ukraine (football), Football (female), Sat. Ukraine (football) – Terrikon

Players of the national women’s team of Ukraine Victoria Girin, Daria Kravets and Lyubov Shmatko shared their impressions of the victory over the Hungarian team (2:0) in the 2023 World Cup qualifier held in Ryashev, Poland.

Victoria Girin: “I am very pleased, first of all, with the victory of the Ukrainian team. I am very glad that we pleased the fans and won this match. It was very nice to be in the starting lineup. Emotions are overflowing. Unfortunately, I did not have enough individual skill to excel. The opponent was difficult. The Hungarians fought to the end, they had chances to score. But we tried and won.”

Daria Kravets: “I am happy that I scored the first goal in this selection. Hungary is my favorite team in this regard. After the match, Luis Cortes was very happy that we won. These are very important three points for us. The girls had a lot of desire. We were close to the second goal during the game, but something was missing. It’s good that we made the score 2-0 and won.”

Lyubov Shmatko: “The impressions are very positive. The coach told us that it was necessary to start the fight well, to actively enter the game from the first minutes. We’ve got it all. We took control of the match and won it. We scored one goal, but something was missing in front to score more. Perhaps the last pass. But we coped with the tension, with pressure from rivals. Caught them in a mistake and killed a second time. I was somewhat unexpectedly given the captain’s armband for this game. I want to thank the coach and the team for trusting me, giving me the opportunity to believe in myself and motivate me. We continue to work.”
