The departure ports for the around 150 departures are Anchorage, Seattle, San Francisco and Vancouver, which for the first time is also the starting point for eight to twelve-day round trips. The latter is all the more noteworthy because there are very good return flights from the German-speaking markets to the Canadian metropolis. The Crown Princess is used on the trips from/to Vancouver. Crossing the Inside Passage, it heads for destinations such as Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan or the Hubbard Glacier.
Stays in lodges ashore
In 2023, the shipping company’s Alaska offer will again include the so-called Princess cruise tours. These combine impressive glacier cruises with stays in Princess-owned wilderness lodges on land.
On all Princess ships sailing Alaska, passengers can upgrade their cruise experience by purchasing add-on packages in advance. “Princess Plus” (approx. EUR 43/day) includes drinks and tips for the crew as well as free WLAN/Internet access for one device. “Princess Premier” (approx. EUR 64/day) includes two visits of a specialty restaurant, higher quality drinks and internet use of up to four devices. (red)
