Snowy rails
Docu
GB
2014
An Alaska Railroad train transports 10,000 tons of coal worth a quarter of a million dollars through the Kenai Mountains. The route leads through icy tunnels and treacherous avalanche areas. The one and a half kilometer rail vehicle has to reach the port of Seward on time in the evening, because a ship is waiting there for the raw materials. But overnight, a snowstorm blocked large parts of the tracks. That’s why the marshals arrive with heavy clearing vehicles.
