A couple of months ago, Robert Roode himself reported through an Instagram post that he had entered the Southlake Orthopedics clinic in Birmingham, Alabama to repair an injury that was unknown at the time. Most recently, PWInsider revealed that Roode was fully recovered and that he would be returning to WWE soon.
However, the latest update on the status of Robert Roode has come from the same fighter who has posted on his Instagram account that has undergone an operation to fuse his C5 and C6 vertebrae.
“A big thank you to Dr. Andy Cordover and his amazing staff at @andrews_sports_medicine and St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham Alabama. The C5/6 merger is complete. Now the work begins. Recovery and rehabilitation. Looking forward to the challenge. Thank you @deneane__17. You are the best,” she wrote.
At the moment, it is unknown how long the recovery from the operation will last, but since it is a cervical intervention, everything indicates that Roode will be out of action for a minimum of 3 to 4 months. The last time he stepped into a ring was on June 25 of this year, when he faced Omos at a WWE live show.
