Salvador Pérez is Kansas City’s “Player of the Month”

Venezuelan catcher Salvador Pérez was awarded the Kansas City Royals Player of the Month award. The club’s decision is due to the important performances of the Creole in the games in August.

Along with “Salvy”, Brady Singer was also awarded, who received the team’s Pitcher of the Month award. The Creole has remained one of the offensive and defensive pillars of the Kansas City team, hitting 20 home runs last Tuesday.

The 32-year-old Perez has a .239 batting average with 88 hits, 66 RBIs and 40 runs scored in 368 at-bats. The Player of the Month award was given to him prior to the match they played against the Cleveland Guardians, where they won 2-1 at Kauffman Stadium.

The team currently sits fourth in the AL Central division with 15.5 games ahead of the Guardians. The next duel will be against the Detroit Tigers, a team that is last in the same division.
