MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Several people were injured in a shooting after an altercation outside a restaurant in South Florida, police said.
It was not immediately clear how many people were hit by gunfire Thursday night, but the Miami Herald quoted a law enforcement source as saying up to 10 people were injured in the shooting outside a restaurant in soul food in Miami Gardens.
Investigators were reviewing reports that a video was taken at the restaurant, Miami Gardens Police Chief Delma Noel-Pratt said.
“We believe this is an isolated incident,” Noel-Pratt said.
Miami Gardens police spokeswoman Diana Gourgue told reporters she could not confirm reports that up to 10 people had been injured, saying “at this time it is only several victims who were injured”.
She said the condition of those injured was unknown, but there were no fatalities.
She said a large crowd had gathered outside the restaurant at the time of the shooting.
Social media posts also indicated that a music video was being filmed.
