At least five people were killed and 18 wounded in a shooting at a bar in Colorado (western United States), police announced.

“There was a shooting tonight at a local bar. We received a first call at around 11:57 a.m. (06:57 GMT on Sunday) that there was a shooting in progress at a local club known as Club Q.” said police spokeswoman Pamela Castro.

Castro said that the agents “located” to a suspect inside the bar.

“There are 18 wounded and five dead”, added the spokeswoman.

Club Q said to be “devastated by the senseless attack on our community.”

“We appreciate the quick reactions of the heroic customers who subdued the gunman and ended this hateful attack,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
