the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, extended the state of emergency to the entirety of that territory in view of the forecast that tropical storm Ian will hit, in the next few days. It could become the biggest hurricane for the Status since 2018.
Meanwhile, DeSantis called for take appropriate precautions to protect Florida’s communities, infrastructure and general well-being.

The extension of the state of emergency comes after last week, the official declared it to 24 of the 67 counties that the State has in the face of this threat.
Ian will approach west of Cuba on Monday night before arriving over the southeast of the Gulf of Mexico next Tuesday.
