It’s been a really busy week for Stephanie McMahon. A few days ago the news of her choice to abandon all her positions again within the WWE arrived, but now Steph herself has published the news of a surgery to which she underwent via social media.
In fact, the former WWE President and CEO wrote that she underwent this surgery to solve some ankle problems. The surgery was performed by Dr Waldrop of Andrews Sports Medicine. This is the same facility, located in Birmingham, Alabama, that WWE often uses for injuries to its athletes. For example, Cody Rhodes, Robert Roode, Triple H worked here years ago, and many others.
Stephanie’s tweet
Here is the message, complete with photos, that Stephanie has published on his profile:
“Busy week! Thank you Dr. Waldrop, @AndrewsSportMed and the Orthopedic Center Staff for fixing my ankle! And to Kevin Wilk @ChampionSportsM for already getting me started on rehab! (And of course to my amazing driver @TripleH) #roadforrehabilitation”
Although Stephanie McMahon was obviously never a real wrestler, she has still been involved in several matches over the years, as well as winning the WWE Women’s Championship. Ironically thinking about recent corporate news in WWE, one of her most famous matches was a no-rules match between her and her father, Vince McMahon.
Obviously it is not known, and probably never will be, if the surgery was planned even before his choice to resign his executive positions in WWE.
