Fatal accident
The airline issued a statement about what happened, noting that, on the flight Embraer E175 operated by Envoy Air, one of its workers was sucked by one of the airplane’s turbines.

The plane was in charge of covering the route between the cities of Montgomery and Dallas, and had already landed normally. Later, while American Airlines workers were transporting the passengers’ luggage, the deadly accident occurred.

According to National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the USA, the aircraft’s parking brake was applied. “The aircraft was parked at the gate with the parking brake on when a ground support worker was sucked into the turbine,” the US agency said.
