The champion does not stop: María Camila Osorio will play the WTA 250 in Charleston

After obtaining her first WTA title by becoming the champion of the Colsanitas Cup and climbing more than 40 places in the world ranking (135), the cucuteña María Camila Osorio Serrano will continue in competition but now the Charleston, United States.

The 19-year-old coffee maker will meet today, at a time yet to be defined, the Polish Magda Linette, who this week started as 51st in the world.

Linette started her 2021 season facing the Miami Master, where she was eliminated in the 32nd final against the British Johanna Konta (6-4 and 7-5). In the same championship she was able to win the first match against the American Robin Montgomery (6-1, 3-6 and 6-0).

The European athlete, ten years older than María Camila, also played the main tournament in Charleston (W500), being eliminated in her first match against the American Amanda Anisimova (7-5, 2-6 and 3-6).

In her history, the Polish tennis player has two professional titles: the Bronx Tournament and the Hua Hin Tournament, both won in 2019.
