the Côté jardin festival kept its promises

The festival began on Thursday June 23 with the aerial circus duo Sorres from the Théâtre de La Gargouille with their high-flying show. They were followed by the “Andresian Pandemic Chronicles” which captivated the audience until the last dialogue. During the opening, Friday June 24, Christian Cluzeau, president of Mosaïques, welcomed Jean-Charles Jobart, sub-prefect of Bergerac, the departmental councilors as well as the neighboring mayors.

Music, theatre, reading

The Louisiana Jazz Trio thrilled all jazz lovers. The play “Illusions” by Ivan Viripaev, performed by the troupe of TROC actors, kept the spectators spellbound. Saturday was the day of African percussion and dances by the Angloba company. The Anamorphose group interpreted “L’Impromptu de Versailles” in its very modern way and the Lonchalants troupe presented the comedy “De la tête au cœur”. Storyteller Daniel Chavaroche, told his new stories including “Those of Canteloube”, followed by a performance of the Art Session passenger sketch series.

A success

Sunday began with a sung reading of the “Balade chantée” with Catherine Colle. In the early afternoon, students from the Elie-Faure college theater workshop performed a play about Brazil. Mary Bach sang “Meaning Please”. After Christian Cluzeau’s solemn tribute to Coco Elie and Alain Jacques who passed away this year, the festival ended in apotheosis with the Funny Jazz Company. The exhibitions, the percussion-sculptures of the Trèfle Gardonnais, the books of André Perriguey and the poems of Michel Haze and Jean-Louis de Miras were very successful.
