On Saturday night, former NCIS student Pauley Perrette revealed his father had been hospitalized for COVID-19. The actor said his father was in the Alabama emergency room and being treated. Perrette not only revealed the news of a close family member, but she also urged others to take the pandemic seriously in order to keep loved ones safe and healthy.
Perrette has included a slew of photos of herself and her father to show just how close the two are. She wrote that her father had tested positive for COVID-19 and was managing the disease well “until he wasn’t”. The Broke star went on to write that those who know her best know how much she and her father care about each other. She concluded her post by sending a word of warning to her subscribers: take this health crisis seriously. Perrette wrote that everyone should wear a mask when surrounded by other people and that the community “MAY SAVE OTHERS” if they take safety precautions seriously. She also asked for prayers for her father as he battled COVID-19 in the hospital.

Perrette’s father was hospitalized a little over a month after their birthday. In late November, the former NCIS star posted a video she and her relatives made in honor of her father’s 85th birthday. She captioned an excerpt from her own intro to the video with: “Today’s Father’s 85 Birthday. I can not see him. My family and I took videos (@PapaWheelzCurry

Perrette explained in the clip that “this is the first time in a decade that we haven’t seen each other” on her father’s birthday, and then revealed that she and “a bunch of people who love you. and your friend Wheelz “have come together to film a special video tribute on his big day. She said this gift is “a lot like your past birthdays and a bunch of other things to make you happy.” The actor ended his post by telling his dad that she hopes he enjoys the video and that she likes it.
