The man who made all the kids of the 80s want to dust off skeletons is finally back, fourteen years after his last appearance. With his hat and whip, Henry Walton Jones Jr. aka Indiana Jones aka Indy for the intimate, marked a whole generation before making a comeback to 790 million dollars thanks to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in 2008.

When his old friend Sallah, still played by John Rhys-Davies, shares his nostalgia with him, Indiana does not seem really interested, but finally, after some enigmatic shots, the adventurer grabs his old hat et John Williams’ iconic theme music kicks off. Explosions, punches, horse and car chases and angry Nazis, our Indy sees himself coming out of retirement for a new incredible adventure.
For this new investigation apparently linked to his past, grandpa Indy will need his goddaughter’s help Helena, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The story is set in 1969, twelve years after the archaeologist’s last alien-based adventure. The villain of the film, inspired by the Nazi engineer Wernher von Braun, is obviously camped by Mads Mikkelsen, the villain par excellence.
The rest of the cast also includes Boyd Holbrook, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Shaunette Renée Wilson and Antonio Banderas. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny arrives in French cinemas on June 28, 2023.
