Aguascalientes, Ags. February 22. “February month dedicated to purification”
The last Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake in the world, manufactured in 1966 for American pilot Carroll Shelby, will be auctioned by the Barrett-Jackson house in Scottsdale, Arizona (USA).
The ‘super snake’, chassis number CSX 3015, will be part of a private collection of exotic sports cars to be displayed at the Barrett-Jackson 50th anniversary auction.
The annual bid was scheduled for January, but was postponed to the next March 20 and 27 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The CSX 3015 is the last of the two Super Snake Cobra in the world. His ‘brother’, the CSX 3303, also made in the 1960s, was shattered in a fatal accident when its owner lost control and hurtled off a cliff on the Pacific coast.
The price of the lot could break a record again. In 2007, the car changed hands for $ 5.5 million, the highest price of any American car ever sold at Barrett-Jackson up to that point, according to Motor Authority.
At the March auction, the Super Snake will be one of the few vehicles to be offered with a minimum reserve price, unlike the rest of the collection and almost all other lots.
You will never be bored again!
