The “New York Times” places Tarragona among the 40 best cities in the world to visit

The New York Times newspaper has just published the annual list of the 52 favorite places on the planet to enjoy and visit this year. At number 31 is Tarragona. This city highlights its tourist and gastronomic attractions, a little-known artistic port city rich in Roman ruins.

At the head of the selection is London, which stands out for its electric side, its brand new connection with the airport and its history. In second place is Morioka (Japan), a gem to get away from the crowds, just a short bullet train ride from Tokyo. And third is Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park (Arizona/Utah), majestic hills in a Hollywood setting.

In 44th place is Madrid, for launching its global tribute to Picasso in a place that is a masterpiece in itself. The list includes cities such as Palm Springs (California), Accra (Ghana), Guadalajara (Mexico), Odense (Denmark) or Istanbul (Turkey).
