The painting “Coupe number six” about the love of a student from Finland and a Russian miner won the Grand Prix in Cannes

The film by Finnish director Juho Kuosmanen “Coupe number six”, among the producers of which are Natalia Drozd and Sergei Selyanov (CTB), won the Grand Prix at the International Cannes Film Festival. The shooting of the film was carried out with the financial support of the Russian Ministry of Culture, reports “Fontanka”.

The film, in which Seydi Haarla, Yuri Borisov, Dinara Drukarova and Yulia Aug were filmed, is about a student from Finland traveling by train from Moscow to Murmansk, trying to escape her Moscow love, and a Russian miner becomes her companion.

Natalia Drozd previously named Cannes program-2021 “star”, considering the very entry into the competition an event out of the ordinary.

Coupe Six is ​​not the only Grand Prix winner this year. The second same award was given to the Iranian director Asghar Farhadi for the film “Hero”.

Other winners this year include Leos Karax (Best Director, Annette), Film Titan by Julia Ducorno (Palme d’Or), Ryusuke Hamaguchi (Best Screenplay, Drive My Car).
