The storm in California gives a truce and the operators work against the clock

Residents of the coastal city of Montecito in California scramble to repair damage caused by the latest storms and prepare for what is to come. Operators are working around the clock to reopen major highways that have been blocked. The storms leave a tragic balance of 17 dead. The authorities have allowed the more than 10,000 evacuees to return home, before the arrival of more rains scheduled for the weekend.-Editorial-
