The XI Open Photo Contest named after V.I. V. A. Sobrovina
One of the most important events in the life of the Belgorod photo community, the annual creative photography competition for professional and amateur photographers, takes place from January 1 to 25.
The organizers of the V. A. Sobrovin photo competition are traditionally the Culture Department of the Belgorod City Administration and the Belgorod Gallery of Photo Art.
This year, participants are invited to show their creativity, creativity and love of photography in three nominations:
1. “Scenery” – classic and urban landscape, pastoral.
2. “Portrait” – studio and genre portrait.
3. “Genre photography” – an image of a scene that occurs around us in everyday life.
Professional photographers and amateur photographers aged 16 and over have the opportunity to offer their work in each of the three nominations. From one participant in the competition, from 1 to 5 photographs (individual works or a thematic series) can be nominated.
The requirements for the works of the contestants are democratic: they must be highly artistic author’s color or black-and-white photographs that have not previously participated in the Photo Gallery contests and correspond to the theme of the photo competition.
Respected experts in the field of artistic photography, who are members of the jury of the competition, when evaluating photographic works of applicants and determining the winners, will evaluate their originality, compositional solution, color and expressiveness.
The jury will not consider collages and photomontages, as well as photographs that can be regarded as propaganda for the use of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or a call for extremism.
You can apply for participation in the photo contest until January 25, 2021 by personally visiting the Photo Gallery, or by sending your photo works by e-mail galery31@mail.ru. The registration fee is 500 rubles. The organizing committee of the competition will provide additional information by calling +7 (4722) 31-35-36.
All photographs submitted for the competition will go to the archives of the Belgorod Gallery of Photography. V. A. Sobrovin, and those recognized as the best will traditionally make up the exposition of the final photo exhibition, which will solemnly open on February 12.
At the opening day there will also be a celebration of the laureates of the competition in each of the nominations with the presentation of diplomas and cash prizes.
