Mike Iupati, four-time pro bowler and first-team all-pro from 2012, retired from his NFL career after eleven years. The 33-year-old confirmed this in an interview with the specialist portal “The Spokesman Review”: “My body has told me that it is time to close the door,” said Iupati, who has been with Seattle for the past two seasons Seahawks was under contract. Iupati began his career as the 17th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft with the San Francisco 49ers. From 2015 to 2018 he played for the Arizona Cardinals before moving to Seattle. In the second half of his career, Iupati played again and again despite injuries – for example in 2015, when he was threatened with retirement due to persistent neck problems. Last season, Iupati came on ten missions as a starter for the Seahawks. In total, he completed 140 NFL games, 139 of them as a starter.
