This region of Colombia, among the ’52 places to love ‘, according to NYT

#Recommended | The American newspaper The New York Times recently revealed the ’52 places to love in 2021 ′ or ’52 places to love ‘in 2021, in English. Only three South American destinations appear on the list, one of them is in Colombia.

The media outlet asked its readers to send messages highlighting the place they were delighted and inspired by in 2020, the eastern Llanos of Colombia occupied a place on the list.

The aim was to inspire travelers around the world in a particularly difficult year for the tourism sector. The Los Llanos region was described as a point in Colombia that is worth discovering far beyond the traditional destinations such as Cartagena or Bogotá.

Los Llanos is home to an attractive combination of pristine biodiversity and traditional cattle culture seemingly lost in time. Anacondas, howler monkeys, capybaras and crocodiles coexist with cattlemen, farmers and thousands of head of cattle ‘, says the text written by Samuel Dulik.

Other South American destinations that entered the selection were the resort of Huanchaco, Peru, and Asunción, capital of Paraguay.
