Three police dogs were retired from the force after completing their services with the New Castle Police Canine Division in Delaware.
These are the following:
- K9 Ace a 10-year-old Belgian Malinois who has worked with patrol cars as well as in narcotics detection since June 2014. He was declared a “hero” by the New Castle City Council. He served in the uniform for eight years.
- K9 Figo, a nine-year-old Belgian Malinois, who worked both with patrol cars and in narcotics detection. He was named as an “assistant” to the officers for the finding of missing persons. He served in the uniform for eight years.
- K9 Champ an eight year old Belgian Malinois, served in patrol car tactical operations and narcotics seizure. He has been with the uniformed since 2015. During his career, he helped apprehend criminals related to drug trafficking.
