In Montgomery County (USA), an elderly man driving a silver Toyota Camry got into an unfortunate accident.
Being near the barrier at the entrance to the car wash, the 77-year-old pensioner accidentally pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake and flew into the building at full speed. From hitting the rack, his car turned over and the man was locked inside the sedan for an hour and a half.
Arriving at the scene of the accident rescuers quickly got the man out of the car and handed over to the doctors. Luckily, he escaped with a minor leg injury and minor bruises. According to the doctors of the hospital where the victim was taken, his general condition is stable and does not cause concern.
As for the car wash, it will require significant reconstruction. The owners said that they would fully restore its performance only in a couple of weeks. Toyota Camry went into service with severe damage to the front fender and cut off the roof. What his future fate is still unknown. There is a possibility that the sedan will be disposed of as unsuitable for restoration.
