Alabama’s Port of Mobile offers big city flair and annually celebrates the oldest Mardi Gras in the USA with many parades and balls. sports, music and space travel

The hill country of northern Alabama is popular with motorcyclists, hikers and mountain bikers. Music fans visit the legendary Muscle Shoals studios, where the Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin and many other world stars recorded their hits. And Huntsville, in the far north of the state, is home to the US Space & Rocket Center. This is where Wernher von Braun and his team built the moon rockets. At the site of the event, the largest space museum in the USA shows this story, which brought the first man to the moon almost 50 years ago in July 1968. In the Space Camp, tourists simulate space missions.
